The “Double Dog” Jeep Project
Sometimes…
You need to get away,
to find yourself.
We work with young men and women ranging in age from 13 to 30 who are often overwhelmed with the pain and stresses in their daily life.
We have found that getting them out of their normal environment and into nature greatly accelerates their healing and growth.
The two primary missions of the Double Dog vehicle are:
- Transport the folks we work with to remote areas to help them find clarity through recreation and camaraderie.
- Turn heads on the road to our cause, America’s Children of Fallen Heroes.
We are a non-profit, non-political, non-denominational organization focused on serving the needs of the children who have lost a parent in the US Military, Fire Department, and Law Enforcement.
In October 2000, we began working with the US Military as Children of Fallen Soldiers.
In 2012, we began re-branding to America’s Children of Fallen Heroes so we could include fallen firefighters and law enforcement within our umbrella of services.
We are a federally approved 501(c)3 non-profit.

At events we collect EOAs. An EOA is a short written or filmed message of encouragement from you to a child of a fallen hero. It’s purpose is to let them know:
- They haven’t been forgotten.
- Someone cares enough to take a moment for them.
- There is hope for their future.
What happens after an EOA is written or filmed?
- Once approved, your message of encouragement is sent to all of the families.

- All approved EOAs will be included in the book, On Behalf of a Grateful Nation,
- and will be included in the memorial for America’s Children of Fallen Heroes.
The Dream Development Project (DDP)
We make a 10 year commitment to the young men and women accepted into the DDP to empower them to clarify, build, live, and create a legacy from their dreams.
These are the young ones living with the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and safety, and we believe they deserve the very best America has to offer.
