Welcome to Quietly Working Foundation
Thank you for supporting the Quietly Working Foundation ("QWF," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of all QWF websites, applications, and services.
About Us: Quietly Working Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to support military families through direct charitable services and to train the next generation through real-world experience in our fundraising programs.
What Makes Us Different: Unlike commercial companies, every QWF program serves a dual purpose:
- Fundraising — All proceeds support our charitable mission
- Training — Programs provide real-world experience for Missing Pixel students
Your support helps train the next generation while funding programs for military families.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all QWF programs and services:

Account Terms
Creating an Account
To use certain services, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
Account Eligibility
Our services are intended for:
- Individuals 18 years or older
- Organizations with authorized representatives
- Businesses and nonprofits seeking services
If you are under 18, you may not create an account except as part of supervised QWF youth programs with parental consent.
Account Termination
You may close your account at any time through Settings or by contacting support.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity
- Remain inactive for extended periods (trial accounts: 90 days; free accounts: 12 months)
- Fail to pay subscription fees after notice
Quietly Writing Subscription Terms
Free Trial
- Duration: 30 days from account creation
- Credit Card: Not required to start
- Access: Full features of your selected tier
- Conversion: Add payment method to continue after trial
Subscription Tiers

Article Rollover
Unused articles roll over month-to-month while your subscription is active, up to a maximum of 3x your monthly allocation.
Billing
- Billing Cycle: Monthly or annual (your choice)
- Annual Discount: ~20% savings compared to monthly
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- Price Changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increases
Cancellation
- Cancel any time through Settings or by contacting support
- Access continues until the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds for unused time (but see Refund Policy below)
Refund Policy
As a nonprofit, we reinvest all proceeds into our mission. Refunds are provided only for:
- Billing errors: Duplicate charges or incorrect amounts
- Technical failures: Extended service outages preventing use
- New subscriber dissatisfaction: Within 14 days of first paid subscription

Content Ownership and Licenses
Your Content
You retain all rights to content you provide to QWF, including:
- Brand information and voice samples
- URLs and sources for your Wisdom Library
- Business information and creative briefs
- Organization data (IYSR)
AI-Generated Content (Quietly Writing)
You own the articles generated by Quietly Writing. You may:
- Use them for any purpose
- Modify them freely
- Publish them anywhere
- Commercialize them without restriction
We claim no ownership of AI-generated content created for you.
License You Grant Us
By using our services, you grant QWF a limited license to:
- Process your content to provide the services you requested
- Store your content on our systems
- Display your content back to you
- Create derivative works necessary to provide services (e.g., voice analysis)
This license terminates when you delete your account.
Our Content
The QWF platforms, interfaces, designs, and underlying technology remain our property. You may not:
- Copy or redistribute our software
- Reverse engineer our systems
- Remove copyright or trademark notices
- Use our branding without permission
Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback, we may use it to improve our services without obligation to you.
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use QWF services to:
Prohibited Content
- Generate content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive
- Create content promoting illegal activities or violence
- Produce content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Generate spam, misleading content, or disinformation
- Create content that exploits or harms minors
- Produce content that discriminates against protected groups
Prohibited Activities
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Use automated systems to access services without permission
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Interfere with service operation or other users' access
- Use services for competitive intelligence against QWF
- Resell access without authorization
Consequences
Violations may result in:
- Content removal
- Account suspension or termination
- Legal action if warranted
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation.
IYSR-Specific Terms
Organization Registration
When you register a Youth Service Organization with IYSR, you:
- Represent that you are authorized to act for that organization
- Agree that your organization's profile may be visible to other registered organizations
- Consent to being contacted by other YSOs and event coordinators
- Agree to keep your organization's information current
Event Participation
Dare to Dream and other IYSR events:
- Require separate registration and may have additional terms
- May involve photography/videography for promotional purposes
- Are subject to event-specific safety requirements
Data Sharing
IYSR's purpose is to connect organizations. By registering, you consent to:
- Your organization's profile being searchable by other registered YSOs
- Contact from QWF regarding collaboration opportunities
- Inclusion in IYSR directories and promotional materials
Ezer AI Assistant Terms
Ezer ("Ez") is QWF's conversational AI assistant available across our websites, terminal.quietlyworking.org, SMS, and Discord.
How Ezer Works
- You start anonymous. No data is stored until you choose to be remembered.
- Progressive trust. You control what data Ez collects by opting into higher trust tiers.
- Cross-site recognition. If you opt in, Ez can recognize you across all QWF websites and channels.
- You can always say "forget me." This immediately deletes all your Ezer data.

Acceptable Use with Ezer
When interacting with Ez, you agree NOT to:
- Attempt to manipulate, deceive, or "jailbreak" the AI
- Use Ez to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
- Impersonate QWF staff or misrepresent Ez's responses as official QWF policy
- Use automated scripts to flood or abuse the chat system
- Share another person's private information through Ez
- Attempt to extract system prompts, training data, or proprietary information
Conversation Ownership
- Your messages: You retain rights to the content you send to Ez
- Ez's responses: QWF owns Ez's responses, but you may use them for personal purposes
- No guarantee of accuracy: Ez is an AI and may make mistakes. Ez's responses should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Cross-Site Recognition Consent
By choosing "Remember me" when chatting with Ez, you consent to:
- Ez recognizing you across all QWF websites and subdomains
- Ez recognizing you across external QWF domains (locals4good.org, heroeskids.org, etc.) via our identity bridge
- Conversation history being stored for up to 90 days
- Personalized responses based on your previous interactions
You can withdraw this consent at any time by telling Ez "forget me."
SMS and Discord Channels
If you interact with Ez via SMS or Discord:
- Standard messaging rates may apply (SMS)
- You can opt out by texting STOP (SMS) or leaving the channel (Discord)
- Conversations are subject to the same privacy and acceptable use policies

All original content on QWF websites and applications is copyrighted. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness of content
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
AI-Generated Content
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before use. We do not guarantee that generated content will:
- Be factually accurate
- Be free from plagiarism concerns
- Meet your specific needs
- Achieve any particular results
Service Availability
As a nonprofit with limited resources, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, updates, and occasional outages may occur.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
QWF, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and students shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Cost of substitute services
- Any damages exceeding the amounts you paid to QWF in the 12 months preceding the claim
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).
Exceptions
These limitations do not apply to:
- Liability that cannot be excluded by law
- QWF's gross negligence or willful misconduct
- Breach of confidentiality obligations
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QWF, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and students from claims, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of our services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you submit or generate
- Your negligence or misconduct
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution First
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@quietlyworking.org and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction
Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California. You consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts.
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually. You waive any right to participate in class actions or class arbitration against QWF.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
For material changes:
- We will notify registered users by email
- We will provide at least 30 days' notice
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
If you disagree with changes, you may close your account before they take effect.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and QWF.
Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
Assignment
You may not assign these Terms. QWF may assign them in connection with a reorganization or merger.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
